The Story of Amira

From the very beginning, my journey with AWT transformed me spiritually, relationally, and emotionally. Over the course of 12 years, I actively participated in network conferences, leadership programs, and even served as a coach in the Nouara program. Each experience deepened my faith, strengthened my relationships, and helped me grow emotionally, equipping me to serve others more effectively.

After years of learning and growth, I felt I was ready to fulfill my calling. My heart for children, especially those from non-Christian backgrounds, grew stronger with every session, every conversation, and every connection I made.

One day, I felt a deep calling to expand my work. I wanted to start a ministry specifically focused on children from non-Christian backgrounds, but I wasn’t sure where to begin. I approached AWT for guidance, seeking knowledge and practical advice. Their response was professional, thoughtful, and comprehensive, they gave me the tools I needed to create a solid framework for my ministry. That moment inspired me and confirmed that God was leading me forward.

With AWT’s support, my vision expanded. I realized it wasn’t enough to serve only children, I also wanted to reach young ladies, helping them navigate the challenges of waiting for the right time for marriage and choosing the right partner. I wanted to create a safe community where they could grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially. This vision became a reality in my project, Iris – Blooming in the Desert, which I consider the birth of my own AWT ministry, a living continuation of all I had learned, grown into, and been inspired to do through AWT.

Over the years, I also came to understand the importance of holistic growth, how spiritual formation, emotional health, and relational skills are all interconnected. Through AWT, I learned not only to lead but to mentor with empathy, patience, and intentionality. I discovered how to listen deeply, encourage others authentically, and provide guidance that respects each individual’s background and experiences. This equipped me to create programs that address both practical and spiritual needs, allowing children and young women to flourish in every aspect of their lives.

AWT shaped me in ways I could never have imagined. The training, the personal follow-up, and the relationships I built with instructors and mentors left a lasting mark on me. I saw in them the very principles they taught, love, patience, and excellence, and they became my role models. The way sessions were delivered, with encouragement and practical guidance, inspired me to approach my ministry in the same thoughtful, intentional, and holistic way.

I was so inspired by my experience that I encouraged my sister to attend Nouara’s training too. She, like me, found it authentic, unique, and transformative, far beyond anything she had experienced elsewhere. Through AWT, I not only grew as a leader but also learned how to empower others, shaping a ministry that could truly make a difference in the lives of children and young women.
